The roots of this gallery trace back to the formation of the Calpe Artists Society in 1954, whose members harboured the vision of a dedicated space to showcase the exceptional talents of local artists.
Recently curated with newly acquired works by the Gibraltar Government, the gallery has expanded its collection to include pieces by the late Elio Cruz, enhancing the representation of Gibraltar's artistic heritage. The venue, strategically located on the ground floor of City Hall, was chosen for its historical significance, architectural beauty, and grandeur.
